Starting again

We are Gay, Rob and Ari McDonald, and we lived aboard our Ericson 39 sailboat from 4 January 2000 until we lost her during floods on 14 February 2023. Ari, our very spoilt Tortie Point Siamese, alerted us to our rapidly sinking, much-loved and well travelled home. It was her 10th Birthday, and without her we would have lost more than we did - not that we saved much, but we saved three lives, and we are starting again from scratch. Rob and I are both in our sixties and are disability pensioners. I teach craft classes for free, currently in Cooktown, and cook most Wednesdays for the local 60 and Better group. Rob is a former cabinetmaker with amazing skills, and can repair outboards, diesels and petrol motors. I love to crochet, paint and sketch, and have sold a number of mosaics, lots of paintings, handmade soaps and shampoo/conditioner bars, handmade jewelry, and more.
